Convene leverages the collaborative design of public spaces as a powerful tool for strengthening communities. We focus on crafting inclusive participatory processes that bridge differences and strengthen a community’s’ sense of belonging. Realized through compelling design and often built with hands-on collective efforts, our work results in vibrant and memorable community places.
WHO WE ARE
Convene Founder Eric Higbee draws upon his fifteen years of experience as a licensed landscape architect working with diverse communities on local, regional and national interdisciplinary projects. Eric has earned multiple awards for his projects, and teaches as an Affiliate Faculty member at the University of Washington Department of Landscape Architecture. He is the former Executive Director of Pomegranate Center, a non-profit organization nationally renowned for its community engagement methodology and creative placemaking practice.
Eric also writes about community-driven design and community engagement on his blog, www.theansweris.community.
Convene draws upon a diverse set of collaborators and subconsultant in to help meet our client’s needs and deliver timely and professional solutions.
