Convene worked closely with the Department of Neighborhoods to engage local residents in the renovation and expansion of this existing P-Patch. Through a series of workshops Convene translated the ideas generated by community members into a community oriented garden that celebrates cross-cultural exchange while providing urban agricultural infrastructure. This project for notable for its coordination with hired outreach workers/translators who worked directly with New Holly’s diverse cultural groups to involve them in the design process and to generate a sense of community ownership over the garden.
